| The 2008 Annual Kids Community Picnic was held July 10th at the Dows Lane Elementary School Food and Entertainment were supplied by the PBA, with the help of Geordane's Food World, Jimmy's Soft Serve ice-cream and John Fogarty. |
| The 3rd Annual PBA Fishing trip took place on June 11th, 2008. Thanks once again to the Island Current Fleet for a great time. |


| The sixth annual Cops / Kids softball game was played on June 13th, 2008 @ Scenic Hudson Park Field #1. For the first time in five years the Cops and Teachers squeaked out a victory 13 to 12. A great time was had by all. Thanks to everyone who participated. |



| On June 14, 2008 at 9:30am the new Metro-North Bridge was dedicated in memory of our fallen brother Officer George E. Duggan. The two plaques installed on the bridge read: "Patrolman George E. Duggan Memorial Bridge". |



| Thanks to Lt Hearle, Police Officers Kamke and Hamborsky, the Irvington Fire Department and the MTA Police Department for participating in the ceremony. |
| Special Recognition needs to be given to Officer Duggan's daughter Clara Duggan Mc Mullin and Grand Daughters Janie Mc Mullin and Patricia White who attended the ceremony. |
| On June 16th, 2008 the PBA presented the Athlete of the Year Award to Nick Nedwick and Mairin Din, at the Irvington High School Senior Sports Awards Banquet. This award is voted on by the coaches and students at the school and is presented to the most outstanding male and female athletes from the senior class. The PBA has proudly sponsored this award for decades. |
| The 2008 PBA Senior Citizen Brunch was held on November 2nd 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Gymnasium. A warm "Cop cooked" meal was served to all. |
